Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at home this year? It’s actually a pretty good idea — drinking at home is much cheaper than going out, and if you plan ahead, you can still have a great time with your buds. Whether you want to host a virtual party online or have a few people over for a game night with a digital twist, GameApart makes it easy to have fun with these St. Patrick’s Day games for adults.

Get ready to raise a pint and say Sláinte, because we got your St. Patrick’s day festivities covered!

Invite your guests to a virtual hang over any video conferencing software that allows for screen sharing, like Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, WHATEVER. Everyone should join via their laptop or tablet. As host, you’ll pick a game on our website and share your screen — this will be the table top. Everyone downloads the free GameApart app (iOS and Android) to their phones, which is used as the controller to play your hand. Players then join the game via scanning the QR code in the game lobby, and you’re off!

GameApart was designed in the early days of quarantine to be played over video conferencing software, but now that people are starting to get together IRL again, it can easily be played at home. Use your laptop to start a game from our website, and everyone can either gather ‘round the laptop screen, or you can cast the table top to a television so you don’t have to sit TOO close to your friend with the tendency to slosh their green beer!

1. GIFs Against Society

2. Verboden

Verboden is a team-based competitive word-guessing game for fans of games like Taboo. The goal is for your team to guess the most amount of words based on clues given by one member of the team. If you say a Verboden word, the other team can BUZZ you, and the shame is real.

Tip of the Tongue

Tip of the Tongue is a word-guessing game for fans of Heads Up. Players choose from a variety of topics and you help each other guess as many words as possible before time runs out.

The Word

The Word is a cooperative word-guessing game for fans of games like Just One. The Guesser has to figure out the Mystery Word from a one-word clue submitted by each player. Sounds easy, but if more than one player gives the same clue, then they get deleted, giving the Guesser less data to work with. It’s actually very awkward and funny, but ideally you avoid this situation!

Done With 2020

Similar in play to Cards Against Humanity, Done With 2020 lets us laugh at some of the highlights of our Weirdest Year Ever.

You may need to have an non-alcoholic beverage handy for this one, otherwise you could end up in rough shape.

May the luck of Irish be upon you whether you play these drinking games online over Zoom, or sitting next to your people on the couch.
