How to Play on Zoom
We have a library of games made to bring your team together and create memories. Learn how you can play with your remote team over Zoom below.
If you're on a call now...
1. Gather your Team
Open Zoom and start a video meeting. Then, invite everyone from your team who wants to play. Make sure everyone in the call has the GameApart app downloaded.
2. SELECT A GAME
On your computer, head to GameApart.com and click “Start Game”. After signing in, select a game and then share your screen with the call. This view will act as your shared gameboard.
3. CONNECT TO THE GAME
Once you have a gameboard open, you will find a unique join code. Open our app, click “Join a Game”, and use this code to connect. Wait for everyone to join, then start your game!
Using Zoom for Faster Games
What is GameApart?
The GameApart platform aims to allow friends, family, and teams to play games together whether they are in the same room, across the world, or a mixture of both. For those remote situations, we offer an integration with Zoom to make starting and inviting your contacts a bit easier.
Integrating with Zoom
From there you will be brought to the following screen where you will be prompted to link your Zoom account. If you aren’t logged in to Zoom’s website, you will be prompted to log in.
Usage
After your zoom account has been linked, you will be brought to another screen informing your Zoom account has been linked.
Click “Invite and Start” on the next screen to be brought to a window with multiple tabs.
- Past Players lists every user that you have played with in the past.
- My Team (coming soon) lists all users that used the same promotion code as you.
- Zoom Contacts lists all of your Zoom contacts.
- Add New allows you to add new users to the invite list not present in the other lists.
Click the green mail icon to the right of each user to add them to the invite list. To remove them, click the red trash can symbol.
Once the all of the users are invited, click “Invite and Start”
A zoom meeting will be launched in a new window. Share the browser window showing the GameApart game selection screen. On that tab, you will see another window stating that the Invites have been sent. Click “Select a Game” to return to the Game Library.
The users you have selected will get an email with a link to the meeting that was just created, as well as a link to navigate to on their phones to download the GameApart app from either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
From the Game Library, choose a game by clicking on the logo and selecting “Start Game”.
To join the game, scan the QR code either from the GameApart mobile app or using a QR scanner on your mobile device to be brought to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. The users that you invited can scan the QR code after joining the Zoom meeting.
Press Start to begin the game!
Uninstalling the GameApart Zoom Integration
To uninstall the GameApart Zoom Integration
- Login to yourZoom Account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Click Manage > Installed Apps or search for the GameApart app.
- Click on the GameApart app.
- Click Uninstall.
